Answer from Himanshu Tyagi, Business Content Writer at Agicent Technologies
Blogging will help you attract visitors to your site -- visitors who you can convert into leads and customers by implementing an effective inbound methodology. Inbound marketing is all about creating the right content in the right context based on the buyer's journey. That being said, I would advise you to start a blog for your business when it is completely set-up and ready to offer services to customers.
When it comes to blogging, you need to be mindful of a number of factors to hit your KPIs and get results, especially for a consumer-focused start-up. At Agicent, we write blog posts on mobile application development and marketing for our customers who are, by and large, grappling with these issues.
First, we get into their shoes and figure out the problems they are facing in their buyer's journey. We also follow an in-house SEO strategy which helps us to attract more visitors to our site. Consider building one for your company before you write your first few posts.
Also, you need to perform some keyword research before writing about a topic. Pick up keywords with high search volumes and low SEO difficulty. You should focus on long-tail keywords, as they are easier to rank. Once done, optimize your article around those keywords and include the phrases that your customers might use when they’re querying the problem on Google.
I also suggest that you carefully execute your on-page SEO. Don’t rush through it to get a post live, and make sure to share those posts as much as you can on your own. This initial push will help you get a running start in terms of search rankings. If your article lands on the 2nd or 3rd page of search within a day, then you should start building quality links to improve its ranking.
Lastly, follow a blogging schedule. Post your blogs consistently to keep yourself on pace and establish consistency with your customers.
